Well I am small and green 
I find it scary how may people (usually management!) think that they can implement this like Windows - install it and it just works.
IDM without a good plan will fail. Get the plan right and it can make life easy.
So - in this instance, there is a component of work to figure out what functions need to be moved where, and why, before you even start implementing it. Otherwise, it all comes out again during phase 2...
On the plus side, it'll be great at automating the admin script tasks and providing reports etc.
