IDM approval items in UWL

Hi,

we have EP 7.4 SP7 and would like to integrate IDM approval items in UWL. IDM version is 7.1.

According to documentation the standard configuration can only be done for IDM 7.2 systems:

Prerequisites - SAP NetWeaver Identity Management Library - SAP Library

Is there a way to use standard configuration for IDM 7.1 and how to do this?

Or do we have to build a custom connector as outlined in this blog?
